Our Efforts to Help Our Planet
It’s up to all of us to do our part in preserving and restoring our EARTH. Kirkwood is an environmentally-focused company, here are some of the efforts we make to fulfill our commitment to the planet.
We have formed excellent relationships with material suppliers who are continually innovating to be able to provide materials that are recyclable and biodegradable. Sustainable materials are becoming more widely available (and also more diverse) meaning the aesthetics of your printing doesn’t have to be compromised in order to be kinder to the planet.
Solar Project
In 2023, Kirkwood installed solar panels on the roof of our headquarters and main production facility at 904 Main Street, Wilmington, MA.

Environmental Savings
Kirkwood continually works to conserve water, materials, and energy. Just some of our conservation programs include:
Reduce waste and materials consumption.
Reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
Reduce water consumption and enhance water re-use.
Reduce the total environmental impact of our printing, packaging & processes.
Support recycling and composting (as possible) to the ability of our products.
Work with customers to develop printing & packaging solutions that meet cost and performance expectations, while optimizing materials and energy use.
Minimize the environmental impact to individuals and communities throughout the life cycle of our product.
Recycling bins for plastic and aluminum cans are installed throughout in all locations.
Plastic straws have been replaced with paper straws to avoid endangering the ocean and marine species.
The use of updated energy-efficient equipment.
An established system for lights off and thermostats raised in all facilities and office spaces.
All paper waste, aluminum plates, skids, ink waste, chemicals are recycled.
All cardboard locally recycled for reuse.
