Case Study: Fenway Park Coke Bottles

Project Overview: Kirkwood Printing was approached by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company to rebrand their iconic 25-foot-tall Coke bottles situated above the Green Monster at Fenway Park, Boston. The project demanded precise color matching and sizing to maintain the brand's integrity. Kirkwood Printing utilized custom 3M vinyls to perfectly match the Coca-Cola colors, ensuring a seamless transition to the new branding.

Challenges Faced: The primary challenge of this project was gaining access to the towering bottles. Situated approximately 110 feet off the ground, the team needed to employ a 120-foot hydraulic lift, requiring skilled operators with no fear of heights. Maneuvering this lift through the narrow doorways of the 96-year-old Fenway Park and onto the warning track demanded meticulous planning and execution to prevent damage to the historic field.

Solution Implemented: Kirkwood Printing's experienced team carefully navigated the challenges posed by Fenway Park's age and layout. They coordinated the logistics of transporting the lift, ensuring it could safely access the bottles without causing any harm to the field. The use of custom 3M vinyls allowed for precise color matching, guaranteeing the new graphics seamlessly blended with the existing branding.

Outcome and Client Satisfaction: Despite the challenges, Kirkwood Printing successfully installed the new graphics, meeting the client's expectations. The refreshed branding on the towering Coke bottles above the Green Monster at Fenway Park delighted both Coca-Cola Bottling Company and baseball fans alike. Kirkwood Printing's attention to detail and dedication to quality resulted in a home run for the client, showcasing their capability to deliver exceptional results even in challenging environments.
